For some reason, a lot of people put oral care at the bottom of the list when it comes to healthcare. Many also don’t understand the extent to which our oral health can have an effect on other parts of our body and our general wellbeing.

The mouth is a perfect breeding ground for all sorts of different bacteria. For the most part, these bacteria are generally harmless and can be dealt with using nothing but regular brushing and flossing.
However, when oral hygiene is neglected, these bacteria can lead to various diseases like gingivitis and tooth decay. And when the bacteria produced by these conditions start entering your system, you have a whole other problem on your hands. If left untreated, these bacteria could lead to a variety of health issues. There are also conditions like diabetes, for instance, that make sufferers even more vulnerable to oral conditions, which makes the chance of infections even worse.
